Balisong Exhibit, Performance & Seminar

A flyer with Kultura Ng Balisong event information

In partnership with the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center, KNB is featuring a balisong exhibit, performance, and seminar with the goal of preserving the culture of the Filipino handmade balisong. We will be sharing about the different balisong modalities that we have been exploring such as the balisong “sayaw” or dance, flow and freestyle, meditation and therapy, tactical and self-defense, and its connection with the Filipino Martial Arts. We will also be honoring master balisong makers Diosdado Ona and Teddy Agojo.

Balisong Fundamentals Seminar

KNB will be teaching the fundamentals of the Kultura Ng Balisong system including balisong flipping basics, hand transitions, footwork, and flow. More than just tricks, this seminar will change how you move with balisong. Open to all levels of balisong flippers from beginners to Filipino Martial Arts practitioners. Be sure to bring your balisong trainers!

KNB Exhibit & Performance

The KNB exhibit will showcase modern and vintage Batangas-made balisongs. Learn about the Filipino handmade balisong and its place of origin - Taal, Batangas. The exhibit will feature a balisong flipping mixer, performances,   a drum circle, free wine and appetizers, and raffle prizes. All flippers, enthusiasts, and families are welcome. Bring your trainers and flip with us!
